South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is proud to announce the appointment of Dean Thomas as Executive Chef at its Vineyard Rose Restaurant that sits upon our lush 39-acre luxury resort, tucked away in the heart of Southern California Temecula Valley Wine Country.   Chef Dean joins South Coast Winery Resort & Spa with an impressive culinary career, spanning over 30 years at various fine-dining establishments and five-diamond resorts.

In fact, Chef Dean's list of accolades, awards and medals are just as long and grand as South Coast Winery's award-winning wines including numerous ACF medallions in his portfolio.   A 2009 San Diego Chef of the Year nominee for the California Restaurant Association, among the many other culinary awards and competitions he's won during the course of his professional career include the state championship for Arizona Taste of Elegance and top contender in the National Taste of Elegance held in Chicago.

Collaborating with award-winning South Coast Master Winemaker Jon McPherson, he is continually adding wine-friendly selections to the Vineyard Rose menus, making the most of the freshest, locally grown ingredients for seasonal dishes -- all of which showcase the fine dining experience awaiting you.
