If you haven’t been to South Coast Winery in a while, now’s the time… Last week our friends and long-time Wine Club Members Jim and Eva Burke came up to help with our “first crush,” when the Pinot Noir grapes from Carter Estate Vineyards were harvested.According to Master Winemaker Jon McPherson, “Harvest 2009 has begun. We’re looking to start harvesting Chardonnay grapes next week; and what’s particularly exciting about this harvest, is that this will be the very first Chardonnay grapes harvested from our Carter Estate Vineyards, and the fruit appears to be exceptional.”
